In 2048, humanity faced an alien invasion that was halted by destroying a mother computer on the moon. However, in 2051, a space probe discovered a new, massive alien armada heading towards Earth.
Players take control of the OF-2 fighter spacecraft, humanity’s last hope. The game involves shooting down enemies, collecting power-ups, and navigating through various stages, including closed environments and boss battles. Anime-style cutscenes provide context and character development.
PC Engine CD exclusive follow-up to the arcade original and HuCard port. Great shooter and rare vertical style from Irem who normally does horizontal like R-Type. You may even recognize some of the same sound effects from that game. Features a unique multi-pod power-up system, great graphics, solid game-play and cool CD Redbook audio soundtrack.
