Koruku, a young girl from a peaceful village, faces a terrifying threat when the evil Goatbone demon attacks. He possesses her friends, kidnaps her sister, and destroys her home. A mysterious old man empowers Koruku with armor, weapons, and magic, setting her on a perilous quest to defeat Goatbone and rescue her sister.
Fausseté Amour is an action platformer game where players control Koruku as she battles through side-scrolling stages, using a chain weapon and magical abilities. The game features stunning anime-style cutscenes and a captivating soundtrack. A unique gameplay mechanic involves Koruku losing her armor and eventually her clothes upon taking damage, adding a layer of vulnerability and tension to the game.
Super fun action-platform game featuring a female protagonist with a Bionic Commando style grappling weapon and a Ghouls n Ghosts style armor shedding damage system. Fantastic graphics that really utilize the PCE color palette, tight game-play, huge bosses, nice CD soundtrack, and well done anime style cut-scenes round out the package. Another one sadly left in Japan at the time but perhaps understandable due to some of the more “sexy” graphics and scenes. Regardless, as far as female fronted action games go, there wasn’t a ton of them back in the day and this one has more replay value than say the comparable Valis series of the era imho.
