The Dynastic Hero a.k.a. Wonder Boy in Monster World, is a side-scrolling Action RPG and part of the Wonder Boy and Monster World series of games. It is the fifth game in the Wonder Boy series and the third game in the Monster World sub-series. Confused yet? … Yeah. Anyway, this is a great, although slightly altered, version of the game. The main changes being the new overall insect theme given to your playable character and bosses. The parallax scrolling is also missing… that aside, colorful graphics, solid game-play, a new Redbook audio soundtrack, and animated cut-scenes still make this a fine entry in the series and a rare title demanding outrageous prices for original US copies online. Also of note is the modern day, retro-like Shantae series is a kind of spiritual successor to these games.
