Raiden is sure to be very familiar to anyone who frequented arcades in their heyday. Super Raiden is quite possibly the best arcade to home conversion we ever got in it’s era. Taking the already solid HuCard version and kicking things up a notch with the CD format with better sound effects, an excellent Redbook audio arranged soundtrack and additional levels. Obviously this game also looks and plays absolutely fantastic. Huge scrolling levels, sharp colorful graphics, and deadly bosses. Raiden is one of those perfect games that defined the vertical Shoot Em Up and has had a lasting influence on the genre. A true classic.
