This comedy platformer is based on the popular Osaka theatrical comedy show, Yoshimoto no Shinkigeki, and features characters modeled after the show’s actors and roles. Mirroring the episodic nature of its source material, the game has no overarching story, instead presenting a series of intentionally absurd and non-sensical situations across wildly varied settings like a Japanese suburb, ancient Japan, the American Old West, and the North Pole. The gameplay is a classic, Mario-style “jump-and-run” platformer where protagonists typically cannot attack, only temporarily paralyzing enemies by jumping over their heads. To progress, players must also complete a wide variety of mini-games, including quick-time events for synchronized dancing, rock-paper-scissors with pizza, and cowboy shoot-outs.
