Chiki Chiki Boys PC Engine CD Reproduction
Chiki Chiki Boys, a.k.a. Mega Twins in some areas, is a fairly faithful adaptation of it’s arcade action-platformer counterpart. Bright, colorful graphics, a new CD soundtrack, arcade sound effects, and the full 2-player co-op experience to boot. The only real let-down is the obvious lack of parallax… Rushed port? Maybe. But while this may seem unforgivable at first, it’s actually fairly easy to look past once you get going. Also, if you are a PC Engine fan this might not come as a huge surprise with the likes of Dynastic Hero etc., and knowing the hardware. Regardless, we all know it’s definitely more than capable when the effort is made (there are too many examples to list here). Still, the levels, bosses and game-play are there – combined with the rest of the presentation, this makes it a uniquely PCE version and worthy addition for some cute arcade fun.
