Zero Wing is a classic shoot-em-up game where players take control of a ZIG escape pod to fight against the evil cyborg CATS. The game features standard power-up mechanics, but also a unique ability to capture enemies and use them as projectiles.

The game is perhaps most famous for its infamous Sega Megadrive English translation, which includes the iconic phrase “All your base are belong to us.” This grammatical error has become a popular internet meme.

Zero Wing is a solid arcade conversion, Space Shoot Em Up for the PC Engine CD. All the hallmarks you would expect, rich colorful graphics, tight game-play, many enemies, big bosses, Redbook CD audio, and anime style cut-scenes. It’s Zero Wing, without the Engrish. It’s also Toaplan’s only other side-scrolling shooter besides Hellfire!
