Basted is an action game set in a medieval world where two young bounty huntresses, Ryeza and Anita, defend their monster-plagued village. After a mysterious masked man reveals that Ryeza possesses the power of a sacred jewel, the duo teams up with an exiled princess to overthrow a ruthless Empire. Despite its traditional top-down RPG appearance, the game strips away standard mechanics like levels, gear, and currency in favor of real-time combat. Players choose between Ryeza, who can jump, and Anita, who uses long-range fire attacks, utilizing a power meter to unleash charged dashes and devastating special moves. The plot unfolds through mandatory and optional battles, heavily driven by fully voiced, anime-style cutscenes.

Please note: this is a Japanese language game. Although, being more action oriented than RPG makes things more playable. It’s basically an action game in most respects with some RPG elements. For the dialogue, you can try using the Google translate app’s photo mode on your phone to decipher what’s on screen when you need by pointing it at your TV.
